Privacy at a glance

Crucible Creations builds software that works for you, not on you. Our products are designed to collect as little about you as possible, and most collect nothing at all.

  • We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. Ever.
  • We don't show ads or track you. No advertising networks, no tracking pixels, no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
  • Your data stays on your device wherever the product allows it.
  • We don't use your data to train AI.
  • We collect only what a feature needs to work, and keep it only as long as it's needed.
  • This promise doesn't change quietly. If anything changes, we say so here first, with the date and what changed.

Our privacy principles

These principles apply to every Crucible product. They are part of how the company is run, not marketing copy.

  1. We make money from our products, not from you. Crucible earns its revenue by selling products, not by selling data or showing ads. Because your data isn't our business model, we have no reason to collect it.
  2. Nothing is collected in the background. Our products don't quietly gather information about how you use them. If a product ever sends anything off your device, it's because a feature you chose to use needs it, like syncing, signing in, checking for updates, or sending us feedback.
  3. Local first. Wherever a product can work entirely on your device, it does. Your records, notes, and settings live with you.
  4. You see what you send. When you choose to send us something, like a feedback report, we tell you what's included.
  5. No selling, no sharing for profit. We never sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share data with a service provider only when it's needed to run a feature you're using.
  6. No AI training on your data. We don't use your data to train AI models, and we only use AI services whose terms forbid training on what we send them.
  7. Promises that stick. We won't use data collected under this policy in new ways without updating this page first.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with its date and a short summary of what changed, and add a line to the change history below.

If a change means a product will handle your data differently, we'll update this page before that version of the product is released.
